Top 10 selling SUVs in July
The SUV segment contributed 49% to the passenger vehicle sales in July.

By India Today Auto Desk: The SUV segment had the largest share in the passenger car market in July with volumes of over 172,700 units. While Maruti Suzuki India had three models among the 10 best-selling SUVs during the month, Hyundai Motor India and Tata Motors had two each. Kia India had just one model.

Brezza becomes the largest-selling SUV

Maruti's popular compact SUV, the Brezza, was the largest-selling SUV in July at 16,543 units. It was followed by another blockbuster model, the Hyundai Creta, which is the mid-size SUV segment leader, at 14,062 units. The recently-launched Maruti Suzuki Fronx garnered sales of 13,220 units.

Tata continues its march with Nexon, Punch

The Nexon impressed us again with handsome volumes of 12,349 units. Tata's entry-level SUV, the Punch, again notched up impressive sales of 12,019 units. The combined sales of the Mahindra Scorpio-N and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic stood at 10,522 units.

Excellent show by Venue

Apart from the Creta, the other Hyundai SUV that clocked fabulous volumes was the Venue at 10,062 units. It was followed by the mid-size SUV duo of the Kia Seltos and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara at 9,740 units and 9,079 units, respectively. The cumulative sales of the Mahindra Bolero and the Mahindra Bolero Neo were at 8,921 units
