Chandrayaan-3's close-up video proves Moon is within India's reach

The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) released the first images of the Moon as viewed by Chandrayaan-3. These visuals offer a unique perspective of the lunar surface, marking a significant milestone in India's space exploration journey.

After covering about two-thirds of the distance to the Moon, it was successfully inserted into lunar orbit on August 5, 2023. A day after this significant achievement, Isro released the visuals. 

The spacecraft was launched on July 14, 2023, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota. This mission underscores ISRO's commitment to advancing our understanding of the Moon and the broader universe.
