15-year-old girl shot by armed men for resisting eve-teasing in Bihar
A girl, studying in Class 9, was allegedly shot in the waist after she resisted eve-teasing by three men in Bihar's Arrah.
A student from Class 9 was allegedly shot by armed men while returning home from school on Tuesday in Arrah, Bihar. The victim was walking home with her friends when three men started teasing her.
When she protested, one of them fired a bullet, hitting her in the waist. The accused fled the scene on a bike after the shooting.
The injured student was taken to a private clinic by her relatives with the help of local people present at the scene.
The bullet was removed from the victim's waist but her condition remains critical, said the doctors.
The victim's friend, who was with her at the time of the incident, told the police that the same men had molested them the day before and had also threatened to shoot them.
The police are working to identify the accused with the help of CCTV camera footage.
