His mother watching, Hyderabad man strips woman on road, arrested
A man tore the clothes of a woman and stripped her naked in the middle of the road in Hyderabad. Notably, the mother of the man was present right next to him while he was assaulting the woman.
A man and his mother in Hyderabad were arrested for assaulting a woman on a street. The police action came after the CCTV footage of the incident showed the man assaulting and tearing the clothes of a woman on the road while his mother watched him.
The accused, identified as Peddamaraiah (30), is a labourer. According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday (August 6) at around 8.30 pm when the woman was returning from a clothes store. Peddamaraiah allegedly touched the woman inappropriately and when she confronted him, the accused turned aggressive and tore her clothes right on the road.
Notably, Peddamaraiah's mother was present at the scene during the incident and did not stop her son.
Another woman, who was passing by, tried to stop Peddamaraiah but he turned his aggression towards her too.
For a brief period, the woman was left naked on the road, until passersby intervened and covered her with a blue plastic sheet. Promptly, the locals informed the police, who arrived at the spot and took the accused into custody.
The accused was subsequently taken to the police station. According to Hyderabad DCP, a case was registered against Peddamaraiah and his mother. Both have been remanded to judicial custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
