Hyundai Creta and Alcazar get Adventure Edition, all details here

By Anagh Bhaskar: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched the Adventure Editions of the Creta and Alcazar. Both the SUVs get a special cosmetic kit which resonates with adventure, and get exclusive cosmetic details and features not found on any other version of the Creta Adventure or Alcazar Adventure Edition.

Speaking on the launch, Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, "In India, Hyundai has become synonymous with the word SUV! The pursuit of epitomizing these aspirations gave rise to the creation of Adventure Edition which augments the go-anywhere DNA of our SUVs. Now, we are delighted to introduce this special edition for our most loved SUVs -CRETA and ALCAZAR.”

The Hyundai Creta Adventure Edition and the Hyundai Alcazar Adventure Edition come with the Ranger Khaki exterior colour. This colour option was first seen with the Hyundai Exter. The colour replicates the age old shade for off-road and adventure vehicles which people used to tackle the roughest of terrains known to man. The grille for the two SUVs sports a black colour, while the chrome bits such as the logo and model names have been replaced with dark chrome. The two SUVs also get a blacked out skid plate, roof rails, and shark fin antenna. The alloy wheels too have been finished in a black shade. The Ranger Khaki is just one of the multiple monotone and dual-tone colour options.

The cabin for the two SUVs is finished almost entirely in black with Sage Green inserts and exclusive Adventure Edition seats. There are other elements as well such as the 3D mats, rugged door cladding, metal pedals, and black ORVMs. Both SUVs also get the dashcam with dual camera on top of the long list of comfort and convenience features that have made the Creta and the Alcazar such successful models.

The Hyundai Creta Adventure Edition is offered with only the 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 115bhp and 143.8Nm of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, or IVT (CVT) automatic. The Alcazar Adventure Edition is available with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol which makes 160bhp and 253Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, while the 1.5-litre diesel makes 116bhp and is offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.

This is the first special edition for the Alcazar, while the Creta is also offered with the Knight Edition.
