In the wake of the recent closure of private schools across Uttar Pradesh, the state government has taken a significant step by announcing the formation of a dedicated committee tasked with shaping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the education sector.

The committee will comprise seven to eight members, who will be set up to play a pivotal role in establishing comprehensive guidelines to be followed in the event of any such incidents occurring within school premises.

The committee members include education department officials, school association representatives, and parents' representatives.

COMMITTEE WILL BE FORMED IN 2-3 DAYS

As per the information shared by the Uttar Pradesh government, the committee will be formed in 2-3 days. Following its formation, the education department will make comprehensive guidelines within 15 to 20 days.

To prevent such incidents, the education department will conduct a dialogue between the parents and the school.

WHY UP PRIVATE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED

The private schools association had closed all the private schools in UP in protest against the arrest of the principal and teacher of the school in Azamgarh, who were arrested on the charges of murder of a 17-year-old girl student who allegedly jumped off the third floor of the school building in Azamgarh and died.

As the government works hard to discuss and take steps to make sure students are safe and well, the creation of the committee and the upcoming guidelines show that Uttar Pradesh is dedicated to making sure all students have a safe and good place to learn.
