An 8-year-old girl who had gone missing was discovered buried under a stack of straw in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh.
The minor went missing the previous evening while playing with other children in the village. Despite extensive searches by her family, she could not be located, prompting them to file a missing report to the local police station.
Police soon arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. A case was subsequently registered under IPC Section 363, which pertains to kidnapping.
During the investigation, the girl's slippers were found near a pile of straw. The police then recovered the body from there and sent it for a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
Meanwhile, a cop assured that they are currently investigating the case and an effort is being made to identify any potential suspects.
