After taking cognisance of their grievances, a dedicated registration and pharmacy counter for the transgender community was set up, Dr Renu Aggarwal added.

Pointing out the low registration of patients from the transgender community in the OPD, Dr Renu Aggarwal hoped that after the new initiative, the influx of patients from the transgender community will increase in the district hospital of Noida.

Concurring with the statement of Dr Renu Aggarwal, Reena, who came to the hospital for her mother's treatment, said, “I have seen people discriminating and misbehaving with transgenders. The dedicated counter will definitely help them.”
