Unveiling Chandrayaan-3 mission: What happens on Moon after landing?

India's ambitious lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, is set to make a significant contribution to scientific research after landing on the moon. Launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on July 14, 2023, the mission aims to demonstrate a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface, operate a rover on the moon, and conduct in-situ scientific experiments.

Upon landing, the rover will embark on a 14-day mission, during which it will conduct groundbreaking experiments using its payloads RAMBHA and ILSA. These experiments are designed to provide scientists with a better understanding of the moon's atmosphere and mineral composition. The rover is also equipped with the LASER Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) and the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS), which will analyze the chemical composition of the lunar surface, rocks, and soil.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is expected to land on the moon at 5.47 pm on August 23, 2023. This mission marks a significant step for India in space exploration and paves the way for future interplanetary missions.
