Calling for riddance of nepotism on the 81st anniversary of the Quit India Movement, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya took a fresh dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ahead of his much-awaited speech in Lok Sabha.

He said, "Rahul Gandhi thinks it is his birthright to become the prime minister, without realising that an aspirational India has already rejected him, several times".

Malviya also attacked Congress and other INDIA alliance MPs--Gaurav Gogoi, Supriya Sule and Dimple Yadav, who spoke in Parliament on the first day of the no-confidence motion debate.

Amit Malviya said, "All these dynasts are relevant because they are related to powerful political families and their only interest is to protect their turf."

"Yesterday, those who spoke on the ‘No Confidence Motion’ from the Opposition included: - Gaurav Gogoi, son of late Congress leader and former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi - Supriya Sule, daughter of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar - Dimple Yadav, wife of SP President Akhilesh Yadav. All these dynasts are relevant because they are related to powerful political families and their only interest is to protect their turf. People’s welfare and India’s development is least of their concerns. We have to make sure these dynasts make way for more deserving and competent young men and women," his tweet read.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "India deserves a self-made leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has risen from a modest background, worked through the ranks and is today occupying the top political job in the country because of hard work and not luck!"

Earlier in the day, PM Modi took an apparent swipe at the Opposition on the occasion of Quit India Movement's 81st anniversary saying that India is now speaking in one voice against corruption, dynasticism, and appeasement.

“Tributes to the greats who took part in the Quit India Movement. Under the leadership of Gandhi Ji, this Movement played a major role in freeing India from colonial rule. Today, India is saying in one voice: Corruption Quit India. Dynasty Quit India. Appeasement Quit India," he tweeted.
